The year 2025 marks an important milestone for us at Kunkun Visual.
Our non-commissioned film, Silent Recall, has been officially nominated at the CAD’oro Architectural Animation Film Festival 2025. An international event celebrating artistic excellence in architectural filmmaking and 3D visualization.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Although we didn’t bring home the award this year, being recognized as an official nominee at CAD’oro Festival is already a huge step forward for us.
The announcement took place during D2 Conferences 2025 in Vienna, Austria. One of the larger gatherings in the archviz calendar, with international juries and most of the studios whose work we follow.
Seeing our work stand among names we’ve long admired is truly an unforgettable experience. For our team, this moment isn’t just about competition. It’s about validation. A reminder that what we create from Indonesia can be seen, appreciated, and respected on the global stage.
Silent Recall is a film rooted in emotion: about memory, architecture, and culture.
It tells the story of a man returning to Tanatap Sunrise in Bromo, an architectural landmark that once bridged nature and tradition. Through cinematic storytelling and atmosphere, we aimed to show how spaces hold emotions, and how architecture can connect the past and the present in silence.
A Big Step for Indonesia’s Architectural Visualization Industry
We believe this nomination is not only a win for Kunkun Visual, but also for the entire community of 3D artists in Indonesia.
The archviz scene here is growing: full of passion, creativity, and dedication.
We would rather this made the next Indonesian entry easier than make anything of our own.
Our deepest thanks to the CAD’oro jury, the D2 Conferences organizers, and all our friends in the global archviz community who continue to inspire us.
This journey has just begun: and we’ll keep creating, telling stories, and crafting visuals that carry meaning.
See you at the next festival!
